The difference between Scottish Gaelic and Scots language is quite distinct. Scottish Gaelic is an ancient Celtic language that has been in use in Scotland since at least the 4th century AD, while Scots language is a dialect of English that was introduced to Scotland during the Middle Ages. The two languages have some similarities, such as similar vocabularies, pronunciations and syntax. However, they are quite distinct in their writing systems, grammar rules, and syntax.

The term “bonnie” in Scots means “attractive”, “beloved,” or “dear”.Loch Lomond is recognized as a symbol of Scotland and the song immortalizes its majestic beauty.
At the Andrews’ Christmas dinner table, Taleah Hope Andrews, a three-year-old from Glasgow, has become an internet sensation again with her hilarious put down. When her uncle said something that she didn’t agree with, without missing a beat she quipped “shut yer geggy”, leaving everyone at the dinner table in stitches.
Scottish Baby Dance – Dressed in a kilt and bow tie, a wee young Scottish lad stole the show with his dancing at a wedding reception. At first, only a few people noticed the toddler on the dance floor near some of the dining tables, waving his arms along to the rhythm of the music. His face was serious as he continued his performance, a mixture of cute and utter focus, prompting a crowd to gather around him.
Scottish Air Traffic Controller Attempts to Guide a Plane to Safety – For anyone who’s ever had to understand someone with a strong accent, this video is sure to amuse. In it, a Scottish air traffic controller (played by James McAvoy) tries to guide a plane to a safe landing. The pilot, alas, has a bit of trouble understanding the controller’s thick accent. Hilarity ensues.
The Scottish Granny is at it again! Her viral video reading Dawn McMillan and Ross Kinnaird’s ‘I Need a New Bum!’ to her grandson, Archer, has been viewed over a million times on YouTube and Facebook. The hilarious tale of a boy who needs a new derriere after discovering his own has a crack in it, is the latest picture book to become a global success thanks to the infectious laugh of Janice Clark.
How difficult is the Scottish Accent? – The Scottish Accent can be notoriously difficult to understand for many people. Depending on the region and individual, the accent can vary greatly, from soft and gentle to quite guttural and hard-to-decipher. This means that some Scots may find it difficult even understanding those with a different regional dialect of their own accent!
