An event celebrating the whisky-rich food and drink culture of Speyside returns to Elgin this autumn.
Distilled 2023 brings together a wide variety of whisky makers under one roof at Elgin Town Hall.
Organized by the team behind the successful Spirit of Speyside whisky festival, the event celebrates the diverse food and drink culture around the River Spey.
The region boasts a long and storied history concerning Scotland’s favorite tipple, with the first whisky distillery, Strathisla, being established back in 1786 near Keith.
Whisky enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy their preferred libation at the festival. Image: Spirit of Speyside. Since then, the industry has flourished, with over 50 distilleries dotting the landscape around the briskly flowing River Spey, from which many draw the water essential for the distillation process.
Distilled 2023 is scheduled for the weekend of September 1-2, with numerous renowned brands having already confirmed their participation.
Among these are Cardhu, Aberlour, Speyburn, Glen Moray, Benromach, and Glenlivet.
