Why is it called a Highland Coo?

Highland Cattle, commonly referred to as Highland Coo, are a breed of cattle native to Scotland. These majestic and hardy animals have been living in the Scottish Highlands for centuries, and their distinctive long horns and shaggy coats make them easily recognizable. This is the reason why they are sometimes referred as hairy coos or a hairy coo.
